EER has developed and is committed to further developing advanced cost effective vision-based products for high-energy-consuming furnaces in various manufacturing industries to improve
1. Multi-burner balancing and combustion optimization, hence minimizing fuel consumption and
2. Continuous 3-Dimensional (3-D) wall and crown temperature measurement, hence minimizing
fuel consumption by avoiding operation above minimum possible temperature to accomplish the goal
Batch-Line Sensor: The batch-line detector, specifically designed for use in glass melting furnaces, measures distances from the furnace walls to the line of feed and melt separation. Since the batch line can be continuously monitored, this sensor allows running the furnace at much cooler conditions
(hence saving fuel/energy)
Batch line sensor integrated with 3-D temperature sensor provides a unique system that reduces operational cost due to reduced energy consumption and operator time
EER can customize its products for customer's particular applications as well as develop new custom made products based on individual unique requirements
One such custom-made product is the Flame Image Analyzer (FIA) which was utilized for burner balancing and optimization of a forging two-burner reheat furnace
The furnace operated at its best optimum condition in October 2007 Based on the FIA optimization
The total energy savings of more than 8% is reported by the furnace operator
